(News Release)
Woodstock, ON – Celebrate Canada Day 2014 at Southside Park, on July 1st.

For the fourth year, celebrations will take place in the north end of the Woodstock’s oldest and most
majestic park with a day filled with food, family fun, Lion’s Club beverage garden, gigantic
Canada Day cake and hours of FREE entertainment and the best fireworks this side of Niagara
Falls.

The day begins with the Canada Day Recreational Co-ed Slo-pitch ball tournament and starting
at 2pm the park is a buzz with activity from kiddie rides, face painting, Lions Club beverage
garden, a great variety of food items and ice cream, demonstrations and unique crafts by local
artisans.

At 4:15 “The Fair & Honest Magician” Wayne Tellier will entertain kids of all ages on the Victoria
Park Retirement Center stage. Following Wayne the Woodstock Taekwondo Club will maintain
their over 20 year tradition at Canada Day of putting on a demonstration of martial arts.
Opening ceremonies and a roaring rendition of “Oh Canada” will fill the air prior to the cutting
and serving of the biggest Canada Day cake in the County sponsored in part by Dee-Lites
bakery.

At 6:00pm Amberlea Beatty along with her 4 piece band will take to the stage to perform her
