HarbourKIDS: The Toronto International Circus Festival co-produced by Zero Gravity Circus

Take a flying leap into the world of circus

TORONTO, ON (April 24, 2014) – Harbourfront Centre takes another flying leap into the world of circus. Maybe it’s the magic in the air, or the roar of the crowd, but resistance is low when it comes to the unadulterated allure of HarbourKIDS: The Toronto International Circus Festival, co-produced with Zero Gravity Circus.

As the official launch of Harbourfront Centre’s Summer 2014 season, HarbourKIDS blasts its willing audiences into orbit on Victoria Day Weekend, May 17-19. Three days of magical magicians, astounding acrobats, hilarious clowns and brazen buskers – and it’s all FREE!

For more fun, inspiration and creativity than you could ever find in a barrel full of monkeys, HarbourKIDS: The Toronto International Circus Festival serves up three days of human dynamism, eye-popping contortionists, and artful athleticism. Be amazed by Zero Gravity Circus’ Bollywood spectacle, transform at the Clownification Station, and just try to stifle your laughter watching Cinderfella.

Move and groove with the Hula Hoop Tryouts, try soaring and bouncing in a Natrel Tumble N’ Swing workshop, befriend a stilt walker, and take a walk on the on the ‘wow’ side of Magic Boulevard. You can do anything your rich imagination desires at HarbourKIDS: The Toronto International Circus Festival because it has all been designed with your enjoyment in mind.

As you’re catching your breath between shows and workshops, visit the West Arcade to create circus-inspired arts & crafts, curated by longtime crafter, Mary Breen.

Kids are the first to say that running away to join the Circus is more exciting than anything else they’ll ever do. They’ve told us so, and how to make it grow, and so it gets bigger and better every year. HarbourKIDS: The Toronto International Circus Festival is for kids of all ages – a giant ice cream sundae of contemporary arts and culture, served up with large dollops of can-do’ism. Grab the family. Hitch a ride. Just get here for the time of your life.
