SUMMER IS SIZZLING AT TORONTO’S KING EDWARD HOTEL WITH A NEW BRUNCH MENU AND EVENTS ALL SEASON LONG

TORONTO, July 8, 2013 – Toronto’s historic King Edward Hotel has a sizzling summer line up for guests this year. With a brand new brunch menu and Toronto as its back yard, The King Edward is the ideal place to start your summer in the city.

“We’re smack dab in the middle of one of the greatest playgrounds in Ontario,” said general manager, Jeff Waters. “Steps away from every major attraction, The King Edward Hotel is the perfect starting point for discovering all Toronto has to offer.”

Recently unveiled, the hotel’s new summer brunch menu  is available from June 30 to September 1, Sundays only. Guests can enjoy the same great brunch that The King Edward has become known for, with a delicious summer twist. With a selection of fresh new summer dishes, al fresco style salads, classic barbecue-inspired entrees and a juice bar at $34/person, this summer brunch is a great way to wind down the weekend.

On July 14, guests who join The King Edward Hotel for brunch will also be serenaded by Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc. recording artist Emilio Fina who will perform three tracks off his debut album O Sole Mio.  Emilio appeared on Canada’s Got Talent and quickly won the hearts of viewers across the country with his mesmerizing voice and touching story.  His debut album, O Sole Mio, features a selection of works, from theatre to opera to classics, which reflect the scope of Emilio’s talent and repertoire as well as his compelling personality.

Steps from popular shopping areas, tourist attractions and the subway, The King Edward is the obvious choice for those looking to experience historic downtown Toronto. What better way to spend a summer vacation than your way? The hotel’s Summer Your Way package gives guests a $50 credit for use towards in-house dining or spa services.

Toronto never has a shortage of activities and events to enjoy. This summer, experience a Blue Jays game, take in a concert at the Air Canada Centre or attend Caribana, North America’s largest cultural festival. All these events are just a short walk away from The King Edward.

From July 25 to 28, The King Edward will be the official host hotel for the Toronto Burlesque Festival, celebrating the art of Burlesque at The Mod Club. The sixth annual event features performers from across the world on one stage including the award-winning and recent inductee into the Burlesque Hall of Fame, LouLou D’Vil.
